About The Event

Join interdisciplinary artist Brother El for a 60-minute hybrid experience—half Live PA performance, half work-in-progress screening—that invites the neighborhood to help shape the final Sandbox Symphony documentary. Across four afternoon dates, each session follows the same welcoming flow so attendees know what to expect and can track the project’s evolution.
What happens each event
Welcome & framing (3 min): Brief intro to Sandbox Symphony’s beach-based arts & wellness project, how feedback will be used, and how to opt into “low-exposure” seating if you prefer not to be filmed.
Live PA performance (30 min): Brother El builds immersive, breath-paced grooves and textures—drawing on field recordings, community sounds, and electronic instruments—to set a shared listening space.
Rough-cut screening (5–8 min): A short, thematic slice from the in-progress film (e.g., sound as regulation, community ritual, youth voices, runway-on-sand). Each date features a different focus.
