Getting Creative with Sampling: A journey into the art form of sampling where we will explore methods deep rooted in Hip Hop and Dance music production to sound design. We will cover sampling basics (analog and digital), looping techniques, various types of sequencing and many tricks of the trade.

Workshop takes place at Studio 393 in Portage place and is open to anyone aged 14-29.
Getting Creative with Sampling: A journey into the art form of sampling where we will explore methods deep rooted in Hip Hop and Dance music production to sound design. We will cover sampling basics (analog and digital), looping techniques, various types of sequencing and many tricks of the trade to unlock the potential for more creative usage of samples on hardware. (And of course, we’re going to make some dope beats while investigating these concepts.)
For this workshop you will need a basic understanding of rhythm, ability to identify various instruments used in a recording like drums, bass or a piano and an open mind.
